Salary Range: $4,058 - $6,653/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range $4,058 - $4,445/Monthly)

 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends and adjust working hours to meet demands of cyclical processes and events. May possibly be called back periodically to perform work as needed on an emergency basis only. Non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Business Operations, the Housing Operations Coordinator is responsible for key processes of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. Responsibilities include: developing, updating, and maintaining the on-line housing applications, contracting, housing assignments, and room transfers; collaborating on move-in/move-out; and locating appropriate spaces for residents with approved accessibility guidelines for buildings and facilities per Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations. In collaboration with the business operations team the incumbent will assist with key management and inventory and the door access software system for residents. This position works closely with the marketing and communications specialist in planning and developing communications to potential and current students. The incumbent is responsible for implementing processes to achieve and maintain full occupancy during the academic year and assisting the summer conference coordinator in assigning summer conference guests and specialized programs. The incumbent will develop and produce reports utilizing the StarRez database system pertaining to a variety of operational needs such as tracking housing license agreements, occupancy, temporary room assignments due to facility issues or emergency housing requests, and weekly rosters for the residence life team and campus public safety to manage crisis and emergency response. May require travel to attend training programs off-site for occasional professional development.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to four years of office experience, which included providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities. Thorough knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures Functional knowledge of and skills in standard office procedures and practices as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, campus databases and housing management systems Demonstrated skills in an institutional/educational environment utilizing customer-oriented a service-centered attitude. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
